The Evolution of The Zombie Through Modern Media

This research project will show the evolution of the zombie through modern media. Exploring how a creature of folklore has morphed through the years via film, TV, and video games. Why did the zombie transform from a Haitian voodoo slave to the undead flesh eater we are familiar with today? What is the symbolic reasoning behind the zombie and its various forms? Is this a creature or pure myth, or is there a deeper meaning behind it? Is it truly something of folklore or fiction? This project will examine all these questions.
